HAI by Leviton’s annual Five-Star Dealer program was initiated in 2001 to recognize and reward select outstanding dealers. Recipients are selected based on various criteria including the number of years the dealer has been installing HAI by Leviton solutions, the number of systems installed in the previous year and unique marketing or programming solutions that involve HAI by Leviton products.

When designing a home theater, often the surrounding decorative elements are just as important to the overall experience as the electronic gear. In this 19-by-24-foot space, the owners lined the walls with specialty fabric paneling to evoke two very unique environments. Printed on one side of the room’s six panels are images of the Chicago skyline. Flip the panels over, and the scene changes to that of the Swiss Alps.

Blessed with wonderful lakefront views and stunning architecture, the master bedroom of this high-end Florida home had all the makings of a relaxing respite – not a high-performance media room.

Still, the owners were convinced that this space could be redesigned to accommodate a big-screen TV and a surround-sound system without interfering with the view or the clean, uncluttered aesthetic. But with curved walls covered in glass and flanked with pockets for hiding motorized drapery tracks, mounting a TV to the wall was out of the question, says Jeff Galea, CEO and president of Boca Theater & Automation, Boca Raton, Fla. The custom electronics (CE) pros at Boca also considered installing a mechanism that could slide the TV out from underneath the bed, but again, lack of space (due to electronic mattresses) prevented it.

The old “Club Room” TV setup in the Boca Theater & Automation Design Center was starting to feel a bit old and chunky. It was composed of a large 60″ LCD in the middle with three smaller LCDs above. To remedy this with a much more streamlined look, BTA chose to install a Planar Videowall. The videowall can show four independent sources, or one large source stretched across all four screens.

The audio is driven by left, center, right and subwoofer invisible Live Wall speakers. Making the LW1218 invisible is straightforward. You can cover the speaker with a light skim coat and paint.

Live-Wall speakers have a uniform dispersion pattern, achieved by our point-source design. The LW1218 spreads sound evenly throughout the room. This unique feature adds to the magic, making it difficult to pinpoint exactly where the speakers are located.
