Founded in 2001, by Jeffrey Galea, BTA is focused on delivering fully automated smart home technology to residential homes as well as commercial businesses.
President and Founder – Jeff has been building networks, automating buildings, and designing software since the mid-80′s when he graduated from General Motors Institute with an Electrical Engineering Degree. After completing his thesis on networking and successfully installing GM’s first ever broadband system, Jeff relocated to Boca Raton, Florida. At IBM Jeff earned a patent for designing world class software that enabled Windows and a mouse to work on IBM’s next generation PC’s. Jeff went on to co-invent and develop internet-based automation software and systems for the likes of HP, Netscape, Macromedia and Cisco. His many proprietary credits include patents for the core technology products of The Cybrant Corporation, a company Jeff co-founded and managed prior to its sale to Blue Martini Software. In January 2001 Jeff founded Boca Theater & Automation and is now fulfilling his ambition of bringing state-of-the-art Automation and Entertainment Systems into the lives and working environments of high net worth individuals.
Director of Operations - Ever since his childhood in Ireland, Stan has had two passions in his life – automobiles and “Hi-Fi”. However, the latter remained just a hobby as Stan built a successful career in the automotive OEM supplier industry, initially with British company Lucas Industries plc and most recently with German giant Robert Bosch GmbH. With a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Science & Technology coupled with 19 years of experience in international technical sales and customer relationship management, Stan believes in “doing what you love” and has now turned his talents to the home automation and home entertainment industry – today’s equivalent of yesterday’s “Hi-Fi”.

The leaders who work most effectively, it seems to me, never say “I.” And that’s not because they have trained themselves not to say “I.” They don’t think “I.” They think “we”; they think “team.” They understand their job to be to make the team function. They accept responsibility and don’t sidestep it, but “we” gets the credit. This is what creates trust, what enables you to get the task done.
