Security / Surveillance
Home security and safety should be important to everyone.
Knowing your home is protected provides peace of mind both when you are away and when you are home. Security is still important even if you have outstanding public safety agencies in your neighborhood. There are far more homes than there are police officers, so it’s important to make your house secure rather than just relying on others.
A really good testament to the effectiveness of home alarm systems is the insurance discount given by your insurance company. Most insurance companies will give you up to a 20% discount simply for having a home alarm system.
By integrating security sensors into a home automation controller, the house can intelligently modify its behavior with no user interaction. For example, when the downstairs windows are open, the downstairs HVAC zone is turned off leaving other zones untouched. If motion is detected upstairs during the middle of the day (for example, a house cleaner is working), then the upstairs HVAC zone will turn on even though it would have normally been set back because the kids are at school.
If the security alarm is tripped while armed, all the lights in the house can come on while flashing the outside lights.
Are you worried about the safety of your home while on vacation? Want to check up on children, elderly relatives, or pets from your office? You can view live cameras or record video to be viewed later at your convenience.
Most of our systems are set up to view the front door so you can see who is standing there when the doorbell rings. They provide the comfort that comes in viewing the person who is knocking at your door before you open it and let them in.
“People in general are not interested in paying extra for increased safety. At the beginning seat belts cost $200 and nobody bought them.”
